99% DUSTLESS HEPA CERTIFIED

Restore your hardwood floor back to its original look or change the colour completely by having it professionally refinished. The main reason to sand a floor on-site, whether new or existing, is to give beauty to a renewable resource that can typically be repaired or refinished instead of replaced. We specialize in sanding and finishing all species of hardwood flooring, following the highest standards in the industry to guarantee a beautiful looking floor every time. We operate 99% dustless throughout the sanding process leaving your home virtually free of any harmful dust.

Refinishing – 99% Dust free sanding

With a professional dust containment system we are able to capture 99% of the harmful dust virtually eliminating any airborne dust during sanding. Refinishing requires sanding the floor down to the bare wood to achieve a flat surface. With this process we can remove cupping, deep scratches, dents, and other damage. You can also change the colour of the floor with an endless selection of options. We offer low VOC waterbased products and 0 VOC natural penetrating oils to protect your wood floor.

Staircase Refinishing

Update your outdated hardwood staircase by sanding down the stair treads and handrails. We can also update the spindles and newel posts, giving your staircase a fresh new look.

Refresh –100% Dust Free!

This process can be used if your on-site hardwood floor is still in good condition but the finish has dulled down. It also removes minor surface scratches, scuffs, and other blemishes normal cleaning can’t remove. This requires deep cleaning the floor with a special solution that removes dirt and oils that may interfere with varnish application then scuffing the top layer of varnish, finally 1 application of high traffic waterbased finish. Cannot be done on factory finished flooring.

FAQ

What are the benefits of hardwood flooring?

Long lasting! The average solid hardwood floor can last 100+ years. Hardwood flooring is the most renewable flooring material available. Sustainable forest management makes it possible to harvest wood without any serious impact on the environment because trees are a renewable resource that can be replaced over and over again. Solid and Engineered Hardwood flooring not only enhances the look of your home but it adds significant value compared to carpet, laminate or luxury vinyl tile. It will also provide a cleaner indoor air quality vs plastic flooring products.

How does moisture affect my hardwood flooring?
Hardwood flooring is a hygroscopic material meaning it is constantly losing and gaining moisture as the air around it changes. If the air is too dry the wood boards will shrink causing gaps to appear, if the air is too humid the floor can swell and buckle. To minimize the movement in your wood floor it is important to keep the indoor relative humidity between 35%-50% by using a full home humidification system. This is not only good for your wood floors but your own health as well.
Do I need to remove the baseboards or Quarter Round when sanding the floor?
When sanding a hardwood floor it is always best to get as close to the wall as possible. Baseboards aren’t required to be removed but we do recommend removing the quarter round for a cleaner finish. In some cases when removing carpet and installing a new hardwood floor the baseabord will need to be raised up.
What is the best way to clean my floors?
We always recommend wet cleaning your hardwood floor with a product recommended by the manufacturer. Vacuum regularly, as often as you would vacuum carpets; a soft brush attachment is recommended to prevent fine scratches. Sweep or use a dust mop daily. DO NOT steam mop or use any household multi purpose cleaners or dust treatment (i.e. Rejuvenate, Swiffer Wet Jet, Zep, Murphy’s Oil, Pine-sol etc. ) as this will cause a film buildup on your floor damaging the finish.
